This seemed like a pretty decent purchase when I first received it. Unfortunately the first gig I used it at, input channel 3 didn't work. I took it apart later and discovered that I would have to re-solder a connection.Not a great first impression. If you get this snake, you will also want to have a road case with plenty of room to store it in. The coil is very stiff, so it doesn't lay out in a straight line very easily when setting up. Fortunately, the problem at that first gig has been the only one I've encountered so far. Advantages are that the coil is very durable so it can take a beating from plenty of spectators walking on it.

no impurities in the sound.....just be careful, just like with any snake and it'll last. good buy if you are looking for a 50 foot snake.
