I purchased a few of these units from Musician's Friend, thinking I could use them in my different racks. A friend of mine saw the first unit in my rack & bought the second unit from me. I used the GNL-2019 2-3 nights a week for 4-5 hours at a time. After about 5 weeks, the power supply died. I went to the local Radio Shack & for about $20, I had a new power supply. I thought the GNL-2019's $40 price tag was a bit high for what it does, but adding another $20 just made it overpriced. The dimmer knob doesn't work very well. It goes from off to full brightness, with little variation inbetween. (I think they may have used the wrong potentiometer.) Overall, I really don't think it's worth the $39.95 price tag. If you need extra light for your gear, save your pennies & go with an LED version.

I purchased this unit to be used in a well ventilated rack. The unit was used for ~4 hours per show, 2-3 times a week. After 3 months, the power supply completely died. BUYER BEWARE!

I must say this is the worst product I have ever purhcased from American Audio. Having several of their amplifiers, I was expecting this product to live up to the high standard I have come to know from American Audio

The device functions fine - The light it gives off is perfect and very useful for any low-light gigs. The overall look of the product is nice, too.

Problem is, after about 5 minutes of trying to keep the lamps to stay in the correct position, one of the lights stopped functioning. This rackmount light fits into the rack strangely deep, making me have to literally reach down between my mixer and top of rack to adjust the lights. It is also quite flexable and such, cheap overall. I would not pay the money they are asking for this product.
