This thing is awesome! A great investment. It's perfect for metalhead drummers. It really does add to the sound. Even if you're playing with felt beaters, it'll give you the sound of playing with plastic beaters (so if you're already playing with a plastic beater, you might not notice the change in sound), and it's just straight up awesome. I've got the feeling it's going to stay there a while too, because it's so sticky I had a hard time at first getting the pad off of the sheet it was on before putting it on the head. It's also big enough that you can use one of these for a double pedal (I was suprised, I expected to get a really small pad like the Remo or Evans ones), which could be a plus for some. Save money by saving your head and add to the sound by buying this little thing. It'll easily become one of your best friends.

All these other pads like the evans clear and black "cloth" pads dont do anything for the sound. However, The KP1 provides a noticable increase in attack and feel giving your bass drum or even your toms a "THUD" that will feel like someone just punched you in your chest. Definitely the best around, and they are cheap as !

When I first got my drumset my bass drum was almost perfect then i decided to pay a bit of money for an amazing patch. I completely dampened my bass drum but the only problem is I am a bit aprehensive about taking this off because it it so sticky, That is a good thing.

Plain and simple this thing rocks. It's cheap, easy to put on, and makes your bass drum sound a lot better. It gives it that punchy sound and it protects your bass drum head. VERY GOOD DEAL!
