I have used the Aquarians Super Kick I for about 6 months now and its definitly great for if your in a band for practice sounds. Also great for quick beats, not so much for slow jazzy beats.

These heads are good as long as you like a completly dead slap. I put these on my double bass mapex pro m after my emad2's broke and I was sick that I wasted about $80 for these heads. I wasn't expecting them too be so dead. I mean they sounded decent but they were WAYYYYYYY to dead for my liking and the problem with a pre muffled head is that you can only add muffleing not take it away after about 3 days of using these I went and got some PS3 and aLOT lot happier.

After trying many heads including the remo powerstroke 3, a friend recommended the super kick 1 to me. I bought one and finger tightened it on my bass drum immediately because I was dying to see how it sounded on my cheap and cheerful stagg kit! I was amazed how easy it was to tune and how it kept its tuning until now! Also, I put a SLUG patch on it which is far better than the falam patch or any other patch for that matter and this solves the problem of it not lasting. Buy a super kick 1, stick a slug patch on it, hit it and your sorted!

I had bought a set from my friend and he had this head on the bass for about a year, and when I went to play it, the bass still sounded great! It's single ply and sometimes that can mean danger on a bass head, but not here this head with last you forever, without having to go back in and retune it, never gets out of tune, best bass head out there period!

I got this head about a month ago and I have to say it is the best bass drum head I HAVE EVER USED, I also got Aquarian sig. black coated heads for my toms that are amazing!!!!!!!
