this bass head is way too thick, and just sounds like your stomping your foot on a carpet, does not sound like a bass at all. more like a really low thud. go with the superkick 1, or 2, not this one

Never broken a bass drum head before, but this one broke after very little usage. This head is ridiculus.

I threw one of these on my 22" x 18" bass drum and it really dulled it out. It's very dry and has no vibrant feel, especially when recorded, and twice as bad when miced. I think this drumhead was made for the "once-in-a-while" drummer who just wants one that will last forever, because it will definatly do that--be very weary if you want something with a full sound.

After using an EMAD for about 6 months or so this drumhead seems like it's a bit dry, with not quite as much volume. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, I just like my bass to stand out. Anyways, I still like it, and it shows virtually no wear after a few weeks. I'm told I play very loud so this is excellent.

This head is a pretty good head, but seems very weak-sounding, with no patch to make it punchier, as well as more durable. The sound is pretty good in the studio but it just doesn't quite stand up to some other heads as far as harder music goes, and can seem a bit boomy.
