No modifications required??

I should have known better. No modifications required. There's no place for a 9V battery to go underneath the pots, so I had to grind a little slot for it to fit in. The pickups were a little too big for the stock (preCBS) pickguard holes. The pots are a little too short for the original knobs to grip very well. Other than that, they sound really good. They replaced a set of Dimarzio P-bass (passive) pickups. I used to never touch the tone knob (it didn't seem to do much before), but now I find myself tweaking it a lot. I also find that I have to turn down the volume pot if I switch from finger style to popping. This is a very good product overall, but I was very upset when trying to install them and finding out that some minor modifications were in fact needed. None that anybody would ever see, so I suppose I shouldn't care?
