Great pickup- I built my own P-Bass from parts and wanted to throw some new pickups in it, so i tossed in these guys and made the bass sound great. The only problem is they don't really have adequate installation hardware- screws are fine, but there's nothing to hold the pups up- most pickup cavities are going to be a bit too deep- easily fixed with a bit of foam/wood/paper thrown in the cavity to raise them up some.

I got mine write on time but i was so anxious to install them i did the night i got it and then it buzzed bad... i tried re-installing them a few times but i ended up for them buzzing... i dont think they should buzz. but they do sound great and are worth the money

I am a touring rock bassist. I use Made in Mexico Fender P-Basses because they can take abuse and I don't have to worry about destroying a high-end instrument on the road. I put Basslines QP's in all my stage basses.

For that thunderous p-bass thump, just roll the tone knob to about 60%. For geddy lee Jazz Bass tone, leave the tone knob wide open. For killer reggae/dub lows, cut the tone down to about 20%. With this pickup I can get a much wider variety of tones than with a regular p-bass pickup. I get compliments on my tone at almost every show and I attribute a great deal of that to this pickup.

I bought these for my Squier Affinity P bass and wow, my bass sounds a lot better. Its deeper, punchier, and all around better than what it was. This is definitly worth the money and will make your sound a lot better.

i just bought it for my squier p bass, now is a whole new bass, the tone is great with good lows and mids. its true the best they can do is rock but not just that.
