I just used my club bag set for the first time this past weekend. These bags are very durable. No problem slipping an 18 X 22 in the bag like most bags. My only suprise was the size of the tom bag. In the pictures it seems a little smaller. I was able to fit a 12X14, 9X12, 8X10, 5X14, 6X14, and a seat top all stacked...and very secure I must say. That being said, you can imagine how big that bag was stacked...I felt like I was rolling in a body bag on my dolly...and yes , you'll need a dolly or a bandmate to help you carry it! I personally like having a case that big for my "whole kit" but I could see some drummers not needing such a large bag...or even someone with a smaller car could have problems with the size. I drive a van so there again, I like the bigger bag. When you price the three bags individually, this really is a good deal. Maybe the friend could offer a "smaller" version with the small or even medium tom bag...I obviously have the large...unless there is an even bigger one in which case, I'll order one of those to carry my surfboards in!!
