got these bags b4 a move, heard they were good dust covers. A month after the drums were packed, I opened a "classic" kick drum. Finish ruined. A couple of other smaller drums were also ruined by the bags interior 'bonding' to the drums exterior. Granted the move from the Pac NW to the deep south is an atmospheric nightmare on any acoustic instrument however , I have good and great results with other bags (even higher priced Beato. recently the only one of these I still have in use - Beato bag interior bonded itself to a brand new Evans G2 coated snare head that I just installed , tuned and was ready to gig. NOT! THESE BaAGS WILL RUIN YOUR GEAR...period.

I bought these about a month ago as a Stupid Deal of the Day and was very surprised at the quality. I wanted to wait until my first gig with them before I did my review. I just got home from the gig and these bags performed well. I'm not sure why the description says a soft material on the inside because it's basically nylon duffle bag material, just the outside and inside feel different. The material is very similar to a baseball bat bag and is tougher than I expected. I also like how the bags are a little oversized to allow for rims mounts. In fact, I plan on getting some carpet padding to line the interiors to add some protection. If you are on a budget and handle your gear with care, these bags will protect against scratches.

I don't use these while hitting the highway, but for small street gigs or dust covers, these are a total steal.

Why would anybody dis these bags? They're strong, easy to carry and do the job they're intended to do. Plus, they're ridiculously inexpensive. No, they're not heavy-duty padded bags, nor do they purport themselves to be. If you need an economical way to carry your drums and keep them from getting dirty and dinged up, these will serve you well. Period.

I didnt expect much when I ordered these. However, they are VERY well made, and the price is cheap enough to get several sets. I am a collector, so, having extra bags allows all my drums to have at least minumul coverage. These bags are far better than no bags! I plan on getting more sets to give as gifts to friends who dont bother to get drum cases at all. They make great covers when using un-padded cases, too!
