A couple of features I wish for...

I've had this pedal for around three years. I mostly use it with acoustic and electric guitar to switch from rhythm volume to lead volume.

This pedal is built very well, and has never given me any mechanical trouble. The battery lasts for months (I use the pedal 2-3 times a week).

Here's a couple of features I wish it had, and is why I'm shopping for another volume pedal.

1. I wish the volume control was flat all the way from heel to toe. The pedal seems to have a big volume change in the toe position, and not nearly as much toward the heel position. 2. I wish it had a minimum volume adjustment that has a drastic effect. The only thing I can tell this control changes is the difference between no volume in the full heel position, and very little volume in the heel.

Because of these limitations, I find myself working within the last ten percent of the finicky toe position, trying to find just the right mix. When I'm playing a fast bluegrass song at 150bpm, singing harmony at the end of the chorus and needing to jump right into a solo, I don't have time to ease my foot down onto the pedal and finesse it into the perfect level. I need: full heel=rhythm, full toe=lead. And I want the ability to change it to heel=off, toe=on, if I want to use it with my electric guitar for things like volume swells.

A very good quality pedal, but hard to deal with if you play fast music and have to make fast, accurate volume adjustments.

Stereo TRS cable required? Maybe not!

This is a great reliable little pedal. Heavy enough to stay put, sturdy, solid. Simple.

However, other reviewers have stated that you need a TRS cable to run CV. I am running CV out of jack 2 into a Digitech VSP on a normal TS cable with no power supply and it's working. Not sure why or how, but it's been good for months.

bring new life to cheap miltu effect pedals

I have a zoom 505 small multi effects unit I bought very cheap for practice. With the FCV100 as a control pedal I can use the wah setings or, even better, some pitch sweeps that emulate expensive units as the whammy pedal. Using it as a volume pedal, with the zoom witha heavy distortion, some violin type sounds and e-bow sounds can be achieved. The behringer has plastic housing, but is built like a tank.

No battery for CV needed

I bought this to use with my BCF2000 as a foot controller. Just like others have stated, it does not need batteries to use as a CV controller. It does need a TRS cord, though. That was kind of annoying, but oh well.

Have not tried it as a volume pedal.

Good Product - beware of the adapter

Purchased this for use with a drum machine. I was tempted to return it after getting consistent hissing when used with a 12V power adapter. I noted however that when used with a 9v battery the product operated as expected, with virtually no noise. I've since used it with an acoustic and electric guitar with exceptional results.
