For Fender Custom Flat-Top solid body guitars, this B 5 Bigsby bridge is for manually creating a true vibrato. The only true vibrato is to change the tone above and below the normal pitch.

Bigsby continues to manufacture vintage-style guitar parts including vibratos and bridges using the same hand-made methods prescribed by founder Paul Bigsby half a century ago. Six hand assembled vibrato models are available with the Bigsby name. The tailpieces continue to be used as original equipment on guitars by many major manufacturers.

I put this unit on a Vintage Modified Squire. After upgrading the tuning machines to Grovers I have a truly Vintage Custom Tele. With the Fender Logo on the Bigsby you don't even notice the Squire Headstock. Actually this guitar has now become a '70's "Fender" New Yorker with the Humbucker in the bridge. Also the Bigsby helped give it an awesome tone.

I've installed this unit on a Squire Telecaster Vintage SH. With upgraded tuners I was able to transform this guitar into a 70's "New York" style Fender Tele. Just like the session guys of yesteryear. Very cool Vibe - makes a cool statement.
