The Bill Lawrence L500R Humbucker is the neck pickup designed to balance perfectly with the L500 Bridge pickup. Like all Bill Lawrence guitar pickups, the L500R is powerful and packed with great tone and a wide frequency range.

Each coil on the L500R is carefully wound to precise specifications to guarantee consistent sound quality. All L500R pickups are treated with high temperature resistant wax and potted to the top of the Bobbins to reduce microphonic squealing. This procedure developed by Jzchak Wajcman gave the L500R its cutting edge and made it one of the most popular pickups in the world. Each Bill Lawrence pickup must pass a quality control check.

The Bill Lawrence L500R Double Blade humbucker guitar pickup is still made today from the same original tooling, the same original coil-winder, the same original magnetizer, and the same original materials, with the imprint on the Pickup saying: "BILL LAWRENCE USA". Great Multipurpose Pickup

Bought 2 of these and placed them in my fender strat. I have 3 strats on stage with me. The other 2 are loaded with seymour duncan hotrails. Was looking for that old humbucker sound for classic rock. They did not disappoint. They have a very warm full sound and they overdrive very cleanly. You may have to boost the highs a little bit for balance, but other then that a great pickup for the money. I get a good sustain on lead rides with heavy distortion. I highly recommend and their not half bad in the studio either.

I've had this pickup for ten years with a Washburn N2 guitar, and I can say that this pickup has given me almost every tone I could ever wish for the bridge position. It has a very high output and if installed with a coil splitting function you get hot fender tele/strat bridge single coil sounds of early days.
