I've been using this gadget for about a year... It's pretty fragile, it is def not loud enough for live and rehersal unless you put stereo in-ear bugs in both ears (so I use a headphone amp) and there are 4 sounds available and they all pretty much suck...a simple cow bell sound would top em all by far...oh, and it's pretty expensive too. I don't recommend unless you need it to sync to comp software like reason, ableton et... that was the reason I bought it and it does that well.

This is the metronome that every dci drumline and marching band uses. If you are a drummer I would say get it.

The only complaint I have about this is the price. However, if you have a birthday coming up or a gift card or something definitely go for it. Every decent drummer should be very comfortable playing with a click in live situations and this metronome is the most practical for both practice and live shows. It is definitely loud enough without being obnoxious, and you can program your whole set before the show starts. Pretty amazing!

I love this metronome. I never thought I'd spend this much on a metronome, but I got a gift cert. and apllied it to the metronome. Easy to practice too and easy to switch tempos and voices. I haven't tried programing yet. The only think I'm worried about is the tilt back stand, it looks like it could break very easily. If this metronome would break or get stolen I would replace it today. It even counts for you in a human voice and I love that feature.

I've had this unit for about a year and a half now. I needed a metronome that I could sync to Ableton Live and my Roland SP808-EX. It does exactly what I need it to do which is to provide a click when playing live. I have it running through a headphone amp so that I can get more volume if I need it. Plus, if I need a clear monitor mix I can push the mix with the DB-90 through the headphone amp as well. However, I haven't had a need to do that because my floor monitor is loud enough and I can hear the click through the headphones. On another note this handles tempo changes via MIDI very well and the stand attachment comes in handy. I would suggest buying the AC adapter for it.
