Great while it lasted!

I bought this cable a couple of years ago for my son who wanted a vintage type coil cable. After about six months of gigging, it went dead! Took it apart, have no idea what is wrong with it. Now he wants another one for his birthday. I will probably buy another one, but like some of the other reviews, it does not seem to last very long.

Great Sound Very Flexible And Durable

I play guitar with some "signed" bands here in LA for over 20 yrs. I have been using Bullets for about 5 years now and was ordering a few more. I saw the reviews and I have to chime in with some support. I have had a very good experience with these in the studio and on tour. I had two that I took with me to Europe for 2 months recently and had no problems. Not to say that all cables don't crap out from time to time -they do. But I even called the company with some questions and I got an engineer on the phone who knew what he was talking about. What I like most about them is the sound is really full, clean and crispy with plenty of punch in the lower end. Most of all they look cool to boot. Not to name drop but I was in studio w/ Lou Reed and you know what he had a red bullet coil! I will continue to be a loyal friend of the curly cable.

It was a good chord while it lasted. I bought this after my straight to straight bullet cable went bad. This calbe lasted me almost a year. But it went bad just recently. Its a cool looking cable but I have now decided after my 2nd broken cable to try somthing else. Also compared to a normal uncoiled cable there is some slight high end roll off, but it isnt very noticable unless you are pickey.

Aah.. Curlies...

Why use a curly cord? (Well, it looks fantastic, of course). So that when you step on your cable, your guitar's jack doesnt get a ripping jolt of course. Also, it doesn't make any sense to me to insist on vintage guitars, vintage amps, speakers, and then not use a curly.

Well, among the curl cords, this one sounds great. A nice little enhancing frequency bump at the mid and upper midrange, perfect for the vintage 70's rock sounds...

The connections are less than great. I have four of these cables: the red one is absolutely dead: the copper is rotted. Two black ones, now equipped with Neutrik jacks, function great, as does the see-through one (that is actually material-wise the best cable of the series).

After installing the Neutriks, I haven't had anymore problems.

Great cables, glad they make 'em.

This cable was a good buy for me. Be warned however. It is a very heavy cable, so not great for running around on stage. However, gives a very clean sound. And the picture is wrong about the colors. The Red cable is a very flat red, not the nice glossy color they show, However, for studio use, it is a quality cable.
