The G12M may have become a classic, but it was the G12H with its heavier magnet that really characterized the sound of '60s rock guitar. Originally available in 2 versions-low resonance for bassists and high resonance for guitarists-both were embraced by guitar players for their unique tonal characteristics.

The Celestion G12H is a perfect re-creation of the low resonance model, right down to the voice coil former material; glue formulations; and vintage, solder-only tag panel. Suitable for use in all cabs, it exudes thick, syrupy tones with a deep, growling bottom end.

That creamy tone straight out of the '60s can be yours right now.

Speakers make or break the tone you hear in your h

Looking for tone rather than just clean or distorted, my first choice was amp. I went with a Goodsell Super 17 1/12. It had a vintage 30. It just didn't deliver what I wanted to hear. On the advice of Richard Goodsell I bought a Heritage 12H. This speaker is so much more balanced than the other. It delivers everything from highs to lows with clarity and articulation. I am just getting past the break in period. This is what I was hearing in my head! It is great clean or distorted. A little expensive, but worth every penny. I can see why greenbacks are so legendary.

Just thought I'd let yall know that this particular speaker will blow dry your hair for you at volume 6...I own a 90s' model Crate Blue Voodoo and I had the cops called on me twice. I then invested in a power brake and really this cab is sweet as chocolate. I got two Celestion Vintage 30watters on top and I run two Celestion Heritage 30watters on bottom...For me, it took a while to aqire this set-up, but it was worth the wait...To finally get to crank this amp up reminds me of bying my first camaro back in the day and finally getting to drive it after restoring it...These speakers are "pricey", though I couldn't settle for compromise. They're so deeply rich in sound they're the ultimate copmpiment for my Vintage speakers. If you purchase these speakers, get a power brake or a change of underwear...;)

When the Celestion Heritage line came out, it pretty much didn't get my attention. I already own a few 'Blues, and they are great, articulate speakers that just sound good. I just didn't need a new speaker. I became curious about the Celestion Heritage series after reading about the EVH model that is allegedly an accurate remake of the G12M 20 Watt speaker that Ed insists on for 'his tone'. Reading a little further, it seems that the EVH speaker is nothing more than a Heritage G12M with EVH decoration. Then I found a Heritage G12H Model T1234/P in Scratch & Dent clearance. Why not? Woah! What a life changing speaker! The dynamics are incredible! With my Goodsell Super 17 Mk2 amp my picking techniques come through with amazing clarity. Truly great!

I loaded one of these into my mesa boogie 1x12 3/4 cab and it turns heads. I'm running 22 boogie watts to it and the match is made in heaven. i can't describe how well i like this speaker. the quality is top notch as well. the highs are nice and the lows are very well pronounced. the amp loves funk tones as well as rock/blues and country.
