when i bought this preamp and had it installed into my guitar, i was expecting it just to be an onboard wah style effect. but it turned out to be way better! i don't really use it much for the traditional "swish" effect of a wah, but more for bringing out solos. when the preamp boosts the high and mid, it makes every note that's played on the high strings of the guitar sound really crisp and clear. it's hard to describe, you have to hear it for yourself. i would highly recommend that you buy this preamp. it's a pain to put in, but once you do, you won't regret it.
