I have used this shape pick since 1975. These Clayton teardrops are made of material I find perfect for me. Not too hard and plastic like. But not as soft as nylon. The only picks I use. The only downside is I wear one down after 4 hrs playing time.

Excellent moderately warm sounding picks.

I've been through possibly hundreds (thousands?) of picks in my life, testing every one I could find. Clayton picks are one of two picks that seem to fit my sound the best. They're warm sounding, with a bit of brightness to them. I find they work best on my darker sounding guitars. They're unbelievably durable (I have one from 1986 - I don't beat the life out of picks, nor do I lose them), and very comfortable. Now, my caveat - I'm a jazz guitarist with a pretty well developed technique, and I'm looking for that classic sound (Bruno, Raney, Wilkins, Wes, etc.), and these picks have the size, shape, and material to work for that. Were I playing rock or other music, I might find different picks, so please keep that in mind when reading this review.

These picks are great because they fit on the pads of your finger which makes for a good grip and are much easier to use that the big picks. If you play guitar, lead, i recomend buying the thinnest pick you can.

These picks give you incredible dynamic range--the ability to switch from finger picking to the surge of hittin' em all is incredible. Stay right where they belong on sweaty outdoor gigs.
