I love this case, it looks awesome and the case is very sturdy. I know it is a bit more expensive than most Coffin Cases but i love it. It is a little harder to close than a normal case but i believe that it will close easier with more use.

I bought this case to replace my sad little cardboard one that the local music store stuck me with. It is now the home of my Epiphone 350s. While I have to say its MUCH better off in this case than the one before it, I have a few issues with the fit of my guitar in this case. When I first put my guitar in and tried to close the lid, i had to use quite a bit of effort to get it closed. At one point, I was a little afraid I was going to hear the sound of cracking wood coming from within. Happily all is well, but I still have to push fairly hard to get the case closed, even after about a year and a half of service. It all seems to be holding up well though. The hinges and latches all seem to be good and tight and apart from a few scuffs and scrapes, the exterior is doing well. All in all, I'm happy with it, and the cool factor is worth the $$$ even if the case isn't perfect.

I just recieved my Coffin Case modle 5000-R to fit my husbands accoustic guitar today and it looks really super awesome.. But there is one problem.. It really stinks, in the litteral sense.. It's supposed to look like a coffin not smell like something died in it.. I donno if a skunk got loose in their store room or what but the inside of the case reaks of skunk! I'm supposed to ship it off to my husband, now touring for the army overseas, today so he can get it in time for his birthday but now I have to find some way to get rid of the stench! It's really strong and really aweful, and smells like dead road kill skunk. I don't know if it's just something about this case or the whole lot of them, but to me it is foul.

Excellent product, excellent quality. Really good looks. Plenty of storage space for straps, strings, picks, etc. I feel confident that my acoustic is safe in this case. Nice, tight fit so nothing is sliding around.
