I've been using these strings for years on my Takamine G Series Acoustic. They sound amazing all the time. I've had some strings on for 7 months and they still sound decent. Why pay more for strings like Elixer when you can get these great strings for half the price. Buy lots of these strings.

D'Addario EJ17 Phos. Bronze

The D'Addario Phosphor Bronze strings are quite simply the best srtings out there for your acoustic guitar! The Medium gauge EJ17's came on my six string Collings D2H when I purchased it in 1994. I've experimented with many other strings since then and I always go back to the EJ-17's! They simply make my guitars sound their best in terms of tone, balance, projection and playability. This includes my 12 string Taylor 750 as well. The EJ38 12 String Light came on the guitar and nothing else has compared to the D'Addario's. No matter what type of acoustic guitar you own you can't go wrong with D'Addario Phos. Bronze, light or medium gauge. They are the standard by which all other strings are compared. Hands down, the best out there!

Now here's something I will tell you: These Phospher Bronze strings not only have great volume, but I alos heard that they have a balanced tone, not too mellow and not too bright. I hope that I can afford to buy a 10-pack of these someday. At least for now I have a 3-pack for a start.

I own an Epiphone Dove and have been struggling with tonality and volume. Once i put on these D'Addario's WOW, volume went through the roof, sustain is longer, the tone is much more clearer and sharp. Compared to the Elixers I use to play on before, the D'Addarios are slightly louder and and more balanced. They're definitely a quality set of strings, and a "must try" for those wanting to juice up a decent quality guitar!

A Good Tone

D'Addario EJ17 Phosphor Bronze strings are a great sounding piece of string. They compliment a spruce/mahogany guitar very well. They don't last as long I would like, but the sound itself remains undaunted throughout the string's whole lifetime. All in all - a great choice for warm, acoustic tone.
