These EJ38's are the best set of strings for my 12 string that I have tried. I own an Alvarez RD20S-12 and these D'addario's blow away the original Elixirs that were on it(I tried the poly and the nanowebs, considering the Elixirs will last a bit longer, but these cost half the price. These phosphore bronze strings have a little warmer sound to them, and I really dont mind a little finger sqeek that the non-coated strings give. I don't know if it's just me but coated strings seem a little slippery to me and are actually harder to play. The bottom line is for the money you cant afford not to atleast try them, I'm sure you will appreciate them as much I do if you're looking for a little warmer sound.
