I tried these after I noticed that Tacoma had changed their recomended string from Elixers to these. Wear time aside, the Elixirs sounded much better. These sound mediocre. They don't have the full rich roundness the Elixers had.The dead Elixirs sound better and I may put them back after boiling them and see how they sound.I will spend the extra money and put the Elixirs back on it next time.

I've tried many strings for my AE Bass and wasn't fully satisfied until I tried these. I've tried Ernie Ball, Elixir, Martin and Fender Acoustic Bass strings and none of them impressed me. The D'Addarios sound and play great!

D'Addario acoustic strings stand up to the test of time. I use them exclusively on my electric bass. When it came time to replace my strings on my acoustic base, it was a no-brainer, and I have not been disappointed. The strings hold up very well, and produce great tone, both acoustically, and when I plug the bass in.
