In 40 years as a professional musician, playing primarily guitar, I have tried everything on my electric guitars, and I always come back to D'addario XL's. Not only do they feel lighter than the gauge installed, they are more consistent, intonate better, ring out clearer and cleaner, and last a long time (with my body chemistry... YMMV). As for claims that they "break easy," that's simply not true... if XL's break frequently for you, there's a problem with your guitar causing it. I've used these strings almost exclusively throughout my career, and they don't break for me, ever.

From the manufacture to the packaging (fresh as new a year from purchase!), XL's rock. You can count on them set after set.

These strings are amazing. Great Value.

1) They last a very long time even with me playing 2-3 hours a day every day.

2) easy to use.

3) They have colour coded balls on the ends to tell which string is which. (It's usually pretty obvious anyway, but whatever it looks cool)

4) Great Value

I have the coloured rings at the head of my guitar, just because it looks cool. On one of my guitars, I've had a set on for, like, a month and they havent started to crap out or rust yet. Great Value! They are the best strings I've ever used. Also, the thicker guage is good for doing heavier music. I started out with .009 guage and they broke at least twice a week.

If you like anything from rock to metal to pop, BUY THESE STRINGS! Did I mention great value?

These are great strings at a great price. I've used them for 15 years gigging 5 days per week and love them. Like all strings, you should change them at least once per week if you play your guitar every day. If you have problems with them breaking, it's probably your guitar or your technique to blame....

I bought these strings one day, and they were awesome! They have awesome sustain and strength. I pull off lots of insane bends. Ilove these strings! The only downside is that they are dirtied easily, so you must replace every 3-4 weeks. Otherwise I would prefer this string pack to anyone who plays metal like I do. Also, they can handle drop A tunings, and I play alot of Slipknot and Korn.

I have never found anything I love,never.So I buy the deals with a good name on them.I find D'Addario just fine.I have used light to Ex.light and play alittle of every thing from light rock,50's to current,folk fingerpick to flat pick,O I must play kinda light because I can,t remember breaking many string but I do change them appx every 40 or so hours or if they get REAL dull.So to sum it up, there a Just Fine String for the Money..Joe .. Key Lime Pie Band/More than 4...
