I just strung my guitar with these guys, and hoooly, they sound sooo good! I used to play with 10's all the time, and these sound much fatter and richer. The extra weight of these strings just feel really nice to play. I have these strings on a Godin Lg, through a Vox AC15, and through the clean channel it sounds sooo big and rich and just amazing, perrrrfect for jazz. Unless you play exclusively rock, I really don't see why anyone would want to use 10's. The 11's aren't even that much harder to bend, anyone who has been playing a decent amount of time could get used to them in a second.

So yeah, if you're looking for an all around richer sound with more depth, get these suckers.

Great sounding strings

These sound great on my guitar, actually they came stock on it (collings 290). I play every night for a couple hours and I find I need a new set every week to ten days to really keep the guitar singing. At least a coule sets a month. I do agree they wont break for a long time but they do lose their soul and get thinner sounding after about ten or so hours of playing and get a lot harder to bend.

Depends on what you are playing I guess and technique. I like these a lot and buy the pro packs to have some on hand. I think they respond well to the purple dunlop 1.5 mm delrin picks also- I guess any heavy would do. All said this is the only string I will ever use from now on. They just feel good and sound great.

Absolutely incredible. I started playin when I was 13 yrs old (currently 23) and I started with .09 gauge daddario electric strings. I messed around with all the gauges they offer, ernie ball, elixirs, even cryogenically frozen strings but the truth is, there is not a more versatile and reliable string than d'addario, personally the .11g is the perfect fit for any style of music. Amazing tone, amazing life, amazing product. Dont waste ur time and money, go d'addario!

Must be good for Jazz or Blues players

I do play some jazz and blues songs. So maybe whenever I find more songs that have anything to do with blues or jazz in particular, maybe these string gauges are just the ticket. But if Ernie Ball strings work better for me than D'addario Electric guitar strings, then that's the brand I will stick to. Period.
