I love d'addario strings for their great tone and feeling. I decided to give these a try because i was tired of my g string going out of tune after crazy bends. Unfortunately i seemed to have sacrificed tuning stability for a seemingly non-bendable string. I cannot bend more than a half-step on the wound third string, and that's when i'm pulling it to the limit! The good news is that they have the traditional d'addario tone and quality so i just use that guitar for rhythm.

I use D'Addario EXL115W & D'Addario EXL110W on all my guitars. They sound better and outlast all other brands I have tried, and I have tried just about all there are in my years of playing. I play the blues mainly and these really give me the sound I like. They hold there sound and dont tarnish as fast as some others do. And They are made in the USA! I always try to buy USA on everything whenever possible.

I won't put any other strings on my Gibsons! These are bright, distinctive sounding guitar strings. With the wound third you get more of a bite and sweeter sustain. Like any other guitar string, they will stay in tune and sound great depending on how often you are gigging/ practicing. I appreciate the eco- friendly, bio-degradeable wrapper they are packaged in.

I went into a brief period of wanting to experiment with strings, and these sounded like they might be good. When I first put them on they were pretty good, nice feel and tone and the wound 3rd string was ok. But they last about half as long as the strings I usually use, and lose a lot of spring really quickly. Personally I think Ernie balls are still where its at.

Put these on my Epiphone Casino and seriously wondered were this great sounding guitar had been for the last five years. What a difference! I'd been using Earnie Ball's. Now, I'll never go back.
