The Best strings ever made.

I have been using these strings for...I'd say at least a year or two now, and they have never failed. Brand new, the tone (I think) is fantastic. They are nice and bright, but not too bright. And even aged after a while they sound great. They do warm up a bit with use, but that's completely ok with me, as they sound fantastic.

I have never broken a string. I have only changed them because I wanted to. In fact, the set on my guitar right now, I've had on since early March of 09 (its october of 09, and they dont show signs of giving up).

I tune to drop C#, which is basically drop D, then down a half step and i think the tension is almost perfect, even on a 25.5 scale. I play all sorts of music: punk, rock, metal, hardcore, progressive, screamo, (trying to get jazz down too) whatever and have been playing for 5-6 years now, and I must say, buy these strings. They are decently priced, and WILL last you as long as you can stand I believe. They suit my style of playing just fine, and I think they will fit any style you want. If Paul Waggoner from Bewtween the Buried and Me trusts D'Addario, then they are deffinately worth it. I've played DR, Dean Markley (cold steels WHICH SUCK), Fender strings, Ernie Ball, GHS...D'Addario just owns them completely. Best strings you'll ever use, I promise.

Thease strings are great if you don't want dark tone but you don'e want ultra bright either. They have thet nice heavy tone. If you want a tone with a little more high tone than buy ernie ball light top heavy bottom. These strings are great.

They solved my buzzing problem

I have a 50's CIJ Telecaster Bigsby with a mustang bridge that would buzz somewhere in the bride area, which sort took the enjoyment out of playing it. Getting these strings was my last hope. After I strung them with these strings, the buzzing completely stopped. It been a few weeks now and there's still no issue.

Best Strings I've Used in a Long Time

I've used GHS Boomers for many years, and I've been happy with them with my Fender guitars. However, when I bought my semi-hollowbody, I wanted warmer-sounding strings. When I read that Larry Carlton uses these, I thought that it would be worth a try. I loved them so much that I now use them on all my electrics.

They don't seem to take a lot of stretching out and they last quite long. Oh, yeah, the tone... The tone is great, for everything except if you want twang (then I do recommend GHS Boomers).

And since my local stores don't ever keep these strings in stock, this is about the only place I buy them.

D'Addario EXL 140 Strings....ROCK

I just received these strings today, and I can already definitely say these are the BEST strings I have used. The tune up very quickly, stay in tune well, and have exceptional tone!!! I used to use Dean Markley 9-42. D'Addario EXL140 strings are definitely better, the tone is brighter and cleaner. I HIGLY reccomend these strings.
