Gauges: 12-16-24-32-42-53. EXP Coated Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings provide longer life and increased durability coupled with the brightness, clarity, and sensitivity you've come to expect from D'Addario strings. Here is how it works: An ultrafine layer of EXP coating is bonded to the phosphor bronze wrap wire which is then wound onto the hex-shaped core wire. The result is a built-in barrier against the corrosion and wear that can quickly sap the life out of your strings and your sound. And since the EXP coating is crosslinked to the wrap wire prior to winding, the strings sound fresh and bright. New-string tone lasts 3 to 4 times longer than traditional guitar strings.

D'Addario is the world's largest manufacturer of strings for musical instruments. Many top guitarists won't play any other brand. Regardless of your playing style, D'Addario has a set that's right for you.

They retain their brilliance long after similar bronze and brass alloy strings go dead. Don't wait for catastrophe, order several sets today.

Great Strings

I just got myself a new Gibson Hummingbird, and I've been experimenting with as many string sets as I can to get the best sound out of them. I bought them from the shop, and they had elixirs on them which sounded ok. When I brought it home, I put my usual DR Rare strings on them, and it sounded like crap. Then I put these on, and WOW, the sound! They have the best sound I've ever heard from a coated string, and has totally rekindled my interest in coated strings. Great balance, and after a few days of wearing in, the sound is very smooth.

I was at my local music shop, hoping to buy a new set of Elixirs for my acoustic...and of course, they were out of the gauge that I like. So, I figured I'd give these a try. I was disappointed. The sound was dead and very flat. I will stick with Elixir Nanowebs from now on.

The best string for tone and finger comfort

I play Martin Guitars but use D'Addario strings. The tone of a PB string can't be beat, add the coating and the way these strings last, they are the value coated string on the market today. Elixers fade fast these babies go the distance.

I just changed to Martin's (the one's with Eric Clapton on the front) on my Taylor 114e and Takamine Gs330s. What a difference! The EXP's do not "chord" well, if that makes sense. They sound dull. But everyone has different tastes. The Martin's are the best I've used in recent memory. I can't figure out how the EXP coated strings sounded good on the Takamine when I first bought it, but sounded just as bad after I changed the strings to the same EXP coated strings. And this wasn't the first time I changed strings on a guitar.

I have a set of these on my Taylor 612 CE. They retain the clarity for a long time and bring out that crisp Taylor sound. I've used Elixer Nanos, different phospher bronze, and a few others. These are now the only strings I use on this guitar.
