I needed to change the strings on my acoustic guitar. I saw these and read about them, and it sounded wonderful. I bought two sets. They seemed pretty good when i first started stringing it. but when I got to the G string, It just popped. I have tightened strings an octive too high before, so i tried it lower, and to get standard tuning, the strings are excessively loose and sound horrible. i tried stringing it at the same octive again, this time alot slower to allow the string to stretch and it happened again. Im very dissappointed with this, because i really wanted to hear how they played, and also because i have no strings on my guitar now. just watch that g string.

I have been playing off and on for a few years and start started playing seriously once my parent bought me my Taylor about a year ago. I was always a little disappointed with the sustain and bass from my last few sets of strings, not to mention the slight buzz I got on the low E string. I just strung these up today, tuned them once and they haven't gone out of tune yet. They also sound unbelievable. The sustain is great, and I really picked up some volume and tone on the low end. I can feel the coating on the strings, and I kinda like it. My freting had slides more easily on the strings and it feels as though the strings are easier to finger pick.
Even better yet, I got a second set for free. I love these strings so far. I don't know why I ever went with a brand other than D'Addario. I wont play anything other than D'Addario on my electric, and now I'm pretty sure I will be using these strings until D'Addario comes up with something better.

Best Strings Out There

I have been playing for a while - and while I pretty much stuck to just any old strings there, once I moved to acoustic I started to get a better ear for sound - including GOOD sound. I tried about 10 different sets of strings on my acoustic. And, although the quality of sound went up when I moved to a pro model, the strings all seem to be lacking something.
I was told about these strings by a friend of mine who, strangely, doesn't even own an acoustic. After I put them on I noticed that these were different. The strings are slick enough for fast, multiple fret slides. The sound is incredible - it's thick, bright, and brings out the best sound in your guitar. And, though I usually do a string change every month or two (long practice sessions and extended concerts), the strings last a LONG time (months and months). they are all I want in a string, have staying power, and the awesome sound of them on my guitar make me want to play even more.

Just put on these strings about 2 days ago. They are bright, have good sustain and excelent mids-highs. The only bad thing I have noticed is theyre a bit twangy on the low end

GREAT strings, don't waste your money on Elixirs (the G ALWAYS breaks on them)! These strings are really making a name for themselves and have been endorsed by many a more successful/well known musician than me. There is a noticeable tone drop around 3.5 months, but it's from "new string sound" to "good string sound".
