Yay! I get to write the first review & I won't waste this opportunity. This is also my first review on this site, since I felt I did not have comparative knowledge to accurately rate & compare previous items; but in this case I have spent considerable time reviewing, purchasing, and comparing strings. When they compare this material to nylon, they are right on the money (in description & also in lieu of being cheap, but great quality.) I purchased a D'Addario Titanium Treble Hard Tension B String because I was mixing 6 different string types on my acoustic-electric. For the high e-string I have a black nylon & this sounds much much better. So, as it says about the tone difference, this monofilament has a very good sound imho. I love this synthetic & I want to buy more & for other notes (G & E). For this price, you couldn't lose much even if it sounded like crap, but this mellow tone really compliments the other strings & sounds great soloing!
