Gauges 10, 13, 17, 26, 36, 46.

Tite-Fit round-wound nickel-plated electric guitar strings from DR are designed to be great all-around strings. They are available in a wide range of gauges. Based upon a round core, the construction techniques for DR Tite-Fit electrics are venerable. However, the core wire and wrap wire in DR's are the latest, most advanced, and expensive metals available. For flexibility, for tone, for long life; for rock, blues, heavy metal, jazz. Tite-Fits are an incredible all-around string.

Bad And Good

I have played these strings (10-46) now for a couple of years. They hold up real well, but I have had some bad sets. The low end punch of the string just wasn't there. The strings were dead. After purchashing another set and put them on my strat I confirmed that the first set was bad. I changed strings and my sound came right back. Tried other strings, D'Addario are to me the closest I've found to the DR's. I've also used the Pure Blues on my other strat with the Fender vintage noiseless pickups, and wouldn't trade them for the world. Some will like them, some won't.... but I think they work great for me!!!

I'd never tried this brand of strings before and now that I've used them, will never buy them again. The sound and feel was decent enough and they stayed in tune just fine, but after about an hour's worth of band practice the D string broke. Weird, but these things happen right? Good thing I had a spare set with me. Replaced the D string and recommenced jamming. Another hour, D string breaks again. Pitiful quality. Looks like I'm switching back to GHS strings.

Fret Buzz

Tried 'em and don't like 'em. Lots of fret buzz like no other string I have used. My strat did NOT need a set up, and that was proven after I took off the DR's and put on some Ernie Balls. Guitar played nice and quiet with the EB's. I also recommend D'addario over DR.

Sadly I bought a set of tight fits and the high E string broke after a full bend on the 8th fret. And they were only about 2 weeks old, but during those 2 weeks they were pretty sweet. Maybe I might have gotten I bad set, who knows...
