I tried DR's hibeams 10-52 today and they are pretty impressive I must admit. I played D'addarios a lot of times before but these ones have better feel and playability. I actually always thought that d'addarios would be my choice forever. I actually choose DR strings now and I think this is the right choice for me, but still D'addario are great strings, at least better than what I saw on the market. So, try to find your favorite brand. Best of luck!

I decided to try these strings as the first string change on my brand new Dean Cadillac recently. I had been playing D'Addarios before, but the DR Hi-Beams are a different beast. They have an absolutely killer tone and you can bend the living hell out of them. Haven't broke a string yet. They also seem as though they will be long lasting. I have tried GHS, Ernie Ball, Kyser and D'Addario, and these strings are my favorite so far. I still want to give Dunlop a try, but you can't argue that the DRs are quite impressive. I will definitely be using these in the future, either exclusively or at least on one guitar.

Certainly the best strings I've used for the money. In my experience, DR Tite-Fits last way longer with better sound than anything short of coated strings, but the DR High-Beams... Wow. They're better. They have the durability of the Tite-Fits plus they are brighter. After a couple of weeks of pounding they sound pretty dull, but with the Markleys that I used to use I would have snapped a couple of e's by then and the difference adds up to a substantial savings in $$$. Getting sweeter sound is icing on the cake.

I've been using these, and the DR Tite-Fit's for almost a year now, and they are just awesome. I have tried many other brands over the last 15 years, and these per-set have lasted the longest against rust (I have acceptionaly acidic skin, so my strings rust fast,) and I haven't broken a single string since I started using them. Most all other brands I have used have broken in less than a 2 weeks (I play realy hard,) or have rusted in less that a few days, but these took over two months to rust, on my lesser used guitars, and I have yet to break a single string.
Sound wise, they are also perfect for my playing style. I use these for a brighter attack, and the Tite-Fits for a darker tone, and I have different guitars strung with one or the other for various reasons, but these are great for brightening up an acceptonaly dark Les Paul, which is great if you have mud issues with your Les Paul like I do.

I have been using these strings for about 2 years now and nothing else could compare to them. They're smooth, flexable and just feel good when I use them. It really gives a low action and I have my guitar tuned down to c, and these strings are just great.
