I am a female bass player for a classic rock band. You're gonna tip over when I tell you that I've had a pink pair of DR's on my bass for over 4 yrs. I play several times/week and these strings held up! I wouldn't recommend waiting that long to change strings but... I get many comments about my pink strings which mean, people take notice! I just restrunk with a new hot pink set of DR's and they sound RAD.

How come no body talks about the Pinks? They're the same as the Blues or Reds,same great sound,oh yeah by the way Penny our Girl vocalist says they look Hot.So thats cool with me and one good thing about color strings on stage You can always see where you are on the nect.

Got turned on to DR's about a year ago should have do it sooner,they play and sound great last awhile too! And now with a choice of colors you can stand out on stage and everyone else is saying Man that bass player is COOL! But the bottom line is the sound, grab a set and have FUN!!!!!
