Rare Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Strings are a departure from the standard, good quality bronze string currently available - not necessarily better, but possessing a new, different, and stronger voice. Hand-carved archtops, dreadnoughts, and good steel string acoustic guitars of rosewood, maple, and mahogany benefit from a distinct improvement in tone, depth, and sustain with a fatter, louder sound and a deeper bottom.

Not Worth For The Price

I bought these because the shop keeper recommend to them me.These strings are expensive among the other strings in the shop. I got quite upset after putting these strings on my Ibanez AEL electric-acousticguitar, because, although the strings are smooth and soft, they don't sound good. They even sound worse than Martin acoustic string that are way CHEAPER. They don't have a good resonance, and I have to use a plectrum in order to get enough volume. They sound bright but lack of bass and clarity. I won't recommend these to you. You can buy the better sound strings with lower price.

Well to start off, I have two acoustic guitars. I bought DR strings and D'addarios. The DRs have been to the beach for a week, been left in my car over night numerous times, been playing outside until the morning dew got all over the guitar and strings, and pretty much everything you can think of. And they still sound amazing. The D'adds have been sitting in my room with very little use and they've been corroded for a long time now. They feel great and they bend easily. They'll revive your guitar back to that bright, factory sound. I'm only buying DRs now. Plus they just feel so much more comfortable, D'adds hurt my fingers.

I'm a fanatic string changer and go through several sets a month. I love my DR Pure Blues for my electric and figured I'd give their acoustic strings a change. Overall, the strings FELT great. Very slinky for an acoustic string...easy to play, but there was just something lacking in the tone. They sounded dead right out of the box with no sparkle or low end PUNCH. If you're new to the acoustic guitar and still getting used to the hurtin that the strings can do on your hands, by all means, pick up a set of these. If you're an experienced musician and looking for that string that brings your music alive, look elsewhere. I have found Martin's SP line of strings VERY impressive and after a week of playing, they still sound better than the DR's did brand new.

I got these strings a while back, hoping they would last a long time. From what I heard they should. I don't know if I just have a lot of hand oils or what, but these rusted within a few days. I've still been using them for 2 months now, but they aren't comfortable to use. I bought a pack of Martin strings, and hopefully those will be better. These strings are good, but they just don't last.

Great strings for Seagull, S&P, Norman and A&L.

I've been searching for Phos/Brz strings that would add more bottom end to Seagull, Simon & Patrick, Norman and Art & Lutherie guitars.
My search ended with these strings.
If you are looking for a deeper, more robust bottom end, these are the strings.
