Gauges 10-14-22-30-38-48. Rare Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings are a departure from the standard, good-quality bronze string currently available-not necessarily better, but possessing a new, different, and stronger voice. Hand-carved archtops, dreadnoughts, and good steel string acoustic guitars of rosewood, maple, and mahogany benefit from a distinct improvement in tone, depth, and sustain with a fatter, louder sound and a deeper bottom.

Sound good, bend easy.

I went to the store to get the Earthwood Rock and Blues Ernie Ball acoustic strings, but they didn't have them. Instead, I got these. Overall I am pleased. The low tension makes the bending easy (sometimes almost too easy - you need to watch yourself to avoid unintentional bends). It is easy to adjust your playing after just a little bit of time. I do wish the strings had the slightly larger 42-52 on the A/E (instead of 38-48) for a bit more low end, but I'd have to compare head-to-head to really see the difference. I really like that I can pick up the acoustic more, now that I can play/practice all of the bluesy lead parts with the bends etc. If you want to gove your acoustic more of an electric guitar playability, give these a try. For me, it was a revelation.

My turn to rave about these strings

I have a pretty decent Washburn acoustic electric guitar but have struggled to get full tone and warmth from it. I worked on it and did all I could with the neck, nut and bridge to make it more playable. I put on 11's to try to get more depth of tone but after a while I realized that I play much cleaner on 10's so I bought these strings. I am completely happy and amazed at the even tone and warmth that these strings produce. It has turned my pretty decent guitar into a really nice sounding guitar. I can't wait to play it every day. From the first strum after tuning it was clear that these strings make a huge difference in tone, warmth and depth. I will never buy a different set of strings for my acoustics again. I dinged the review on the price a little because I bought them about a week ago for about a dollar less per set, so the cost went up since then. But I would still by them at this price. Great, great, great set of strings! I can play again!

DR acoustic strings are simply the BEST...

DR acoustic strings are simply the BEST strings I have EVER played. First off, their Tite-Fit technology does more than you might think. As explained, it does add more material to the strings than other brands making their life longer. But beyond that, the compression involved in Tite-Fit also gives these strings a great feel. How can you say something of a string's feel you ask? Well, for one, being that DR's compression process actually squeezes the string tightly, this allows the 'ridges' felt on the string to be reduced, making chording and fretting the guitar far easier than with any other brand. Far beyond feel, DR's tone surpasses many strings I've played. Brighter, fuller and more resonant sounding notes have come out of my guitar. Although brands like Elixir and other coated strings have measures to resist corrosion, in my opinion, that extra coating just dampens the string making tone suffer GREATLY. DR has found a way to avoid having to cover the vital parts of the string to allow the FULL tone to come through. I have made the switch and will continue stringing on DR's.

Incredible Strings

Went To my local GuitarCenter to buy a set of Elixir acoustic guitar strings for my Taylor 412CE, but they stopped carrying them because of what ever reason. The salesman recommended D'Addario exp strings, but I have bought a set a week prior for my other guitar and really disliked them. The tone and feel was not of high calibur quality. So I thought about it, then chose instead to give the DR strings a try. Wow!!! I was totally blown away by just how musical these strings sound on my Taylor. The feel and response is awesome, the level of string Sustain is fantastic, These strings will save you cash as well. I wont be missing the use of elixir strings. DR did a great job with these strings!
