I purchased this pedal about a year ago. It worked nicely for about 2 or 3 months. Then I began to notice squeaking and extra friction when I played, and one day, while playing for my church, the stock springs just broke. For no reason. I always play with medium force and they just broke. The screws for the connecting tube ALWAYS get loose and fall off, and I'm missing about 3 of them. The beaters are very heavy and do not feel well at all. Adjusting this pedal is awful. It takes so much patience and barely makes a difference. My double bass drumming has gotten slower and slower, most likely from the pedal, because all of my other pedals have worked perfectly. I strongly advise that you go with a different pedal. It may look flashy and awesome, but it's not worth the problems you will have. Go with an Iron Cobra or Eliminators if you're looking for a great set of pedals. Do NOT buy.

These pedals are so light and fast and easy to control.I can hit 290bpm with these pedals. thats really fast I can control them at quick bursts too or slow double bass these are the best pedals ever made

I have the 5002 AD3 double pedal for over a year now so I thought it was time to do a review. After many gig set-ups and tear-downs over the last year or so, I have never had any problems with this pedal whatsoever. It's still smooth, still reliable, and still holding up very well. When your a gigging drummer in a band, you need the good stuff. Best pedal for the money.

I purchased this pedal and the 2 legged 5000 hi hat about 4 years ago. Both of which have completely fallen apart on me. I understand that can happen, but trying to get replacement parts is a pain, DW doesn't care and aimlessly sends out the wrong parts multiple times. Like the other reviews, the screws fall out constantly, especially since you have to completely dismantle it to fit in the case it comes with. This overpriced pedal should've lasted longer than 4 years when my dad plays yamaha hardware from the 70's without an issue.

To me this is the fastest, best pedal for my money. The demon drive, 9000 etc. did not work for me. fast set-up, and great features.
