I've been meaning to get a double pedal for a while now. I was initially going to go with the DW 5000 Accelerator, but comparing the two, I decided to go with the Turbo instead. Let me just say, I love this pedal. I anticipated having to break it in, but straight out of the box, this pedal was smooth, responsive, and fast - now I have to catch up to it!

I've owned this pedal since March 2008, and love it. Admittedly, it took a while to "break in," but it gets easier each day. The quality is great, and, for most drummers, the standard factory settings should be fine. The pedal surfaces are a little slippery for continuous fast licks, but installation of the (included) toe stops will remedy this.

This pedal is easy to install and the velcro strips will not let this pedal slide whatsoever.

During first setup, make sure that all of the factory bolts are tight, and you should have no problem with this pedal for years to come. To complete the setup, add a DW 5500TD Delta II Hi-Hat Cymbal Stand, and you're all set.

I Own a Gibraltar 3311 Double pedal and i love it and it was cheap. This pedal on the other hand wasn't as great as i expected it to be. I Found the springs were way too loose, the beater to swing way too much and the heel plates to be very high which wasn't very comfy. But it is a very tough pedal that will last a long time. The guy who owned it has a 12 year old DW 5000 and it still works like a charm. So yes this is a tough pedal but not comfy to play in my opinion. Tama or Gibraltar are my way to go
