Don't Let The DW Name Fool You

Don't let the DW name fool you. These pedals are horrible! I've had them for about a year and a half now and they worked fine when I first got them but within less than a year the spring broke off twice (once in the middle of a huge gig), I had to replace it. The left pedal is nowhere near as responsive as the right pedal now. And last month the screw connecting the chain to the right pedal broke in half, I had to replace that too. These pedals are pathetic. Believe it or not, my old PDP pedals were better. Stay away from these pedals, they are not worth your money.

So umm....got this thng a bit ago....it wasn't what I was expecting. All the rave of DW was like "I'm totally stoked for this!" but sadly, it fails...The pedal is hard to adjust, it keeps getting really loose, left pedal falls off, heads wabble way too much(It hits me in the foot...and that really sucks) and the head adjusters slide up and down which get's really annoying...So umm...wouldn't really get this thing if I were you. I'm actually planning on getting a Gibralter Intruder which has a direct drive. Hopefully it's not just a pedal conspiracy against little old me.

I got this pedal for my birthday, I play all types of music and in no way am I a heavy hitter. it plays great and has great response. HOWEVER... within the first 4 months i had this pedal, it broke in every way (mallets springs tension rods, chains, ect) it was horrible. i now have a 100 dollar single pedal it plays like heaven.

I've been playing DW pedals since the early 90's, and they never disappoint. Whether single, double, 5,7,9 series it's definitely money well spent. Like any piece of machinery they need periodic maintenance. Squeaks, creaks and slop always develop over time, just keep 'em clean, adjusted and lubricated(with 3-in-1 oil not WD40) and it'll last forever.

ive had mine for about a year and im definitely pleased. The only only problem i had was the main pedal got stuck but in a matter of days it was fixed(on its own). The beaters are a little heavy but after about a week you wont notice. I highly recommend them!
