remote hi hat stand

I've played on one of these before and it helped me out a ton, considering I have my hi hat on the right side. I just can't stand crossing my arms simply cause I always hit my hands and forearms which causes me to get off beat. The only question I have about this is how big is the mounting hardware that comes with it? It looks too small for a 14" hi hat.

DW 9502

I play a Tama Starclassic set with 4 toms. Needed to get the HiHat closer to my snare. I like to keep Hardware the same but I had no choice. The response of this HiHat stand is better then any other I have used. I have use DW, Tama RoadPro and Iron Cobra. The 9502 is awesome. I bought the 8ft cable because I like the ability to put it anywhere on my set. They make different sized cables if you are worried about looks. It is expensive, but if you are looking to grow into a better set, buy it. You will not be disappointed. I Love my Tama Drums and Hardware but I use all DW pedals.

cool, but I didn't like it

this product is very flexible. I use Sabian metal-x hi-hats which are very heavy cymbals. When i put the cymbals on they would bounce unless i had my foot on the pedal. this would work better as a second hi-hat or with lighter weight hi-hats. You can mount this thing anywhere. This was not for me but it is a good product. Try it you might like it better then I did.

The dogbone it comes with is also great it is rock solid. If you buy it you will not be dissapointed however you use it.

Tryed it out at my local music store, worked great, no lag at all, responded as fast as a normal hihat. I love the idea of being able to do this, that way one doesn't need to be constantly moving one's arm across the set to switch for ride/hihat. It doesn't seem like a great advantage but it is. Plus its a cool way to have two hihats. Unfortunately, its bit pricy and (in my mind) it worsens the look of your kit if you have a long break cord around the front.
