This DW double tom stand is the strongest on the market. Very sturdy, loads of features and built like a tank. Now, for you guys saying "this stand doesn't fit my toms" and then leaving a bad rating, here's some info... The L-rods are 12.7mm. That is DW's dimensions for their mounting brackets, the thickest and strongest in the industry. You can buy smaller diameter L-rods to fit your drums hardware and still use this superior stand. Do your homework, and you will see this stand is the best there is.

Very Solid Construction and Excellent Features

I have been using this double tom stand for 3 months and about 8 live gigs. I love all the memory keys, this is my first stand that has a memory key for the leg expansion. The other feature I like is the expansion clamp behind the tom arms. Although, the first time I set this up I had a cymbal arm attached to this clamp but I couldn't get it in the desired position for a crash. I might use it for a splash cymbal. The construction is solid and heavy. I definitely noticed the added weight to my stands bag. The tom arms don't budge once their tightened. My only complaint is the stability with toms installed. The first time I set up my 10" and 12" Eco-X DW toms the stand was tipping over with the slightest touch. NOT GOOD. I had to rotate the legs so one of them was directly under the center-of-gravity of the toms. I bet adding a cymbal to the expansion clamp would help move the CG. If you're interested in this stand be sure you check the tom arm diameter. These use 1/2" dia. arms (DW standard, not PDP). I tried using a cheaper Pacific tom stand only to find out the tom arm diameter was too small (10 mm, I think).

This stand is the living reincarnation of quality construction. This stand is a monster, it's definitely the heaviest piece of equipment I own. I have a 10 inch tom and two 18 inch crashes mounted on this thing and it doesn't move.

This is a great stand. Jam packed with that signature DW quality and construction. I upgraded from a stock mount on a Pacific stand, and while it was decent, it wasn't as sturdy as I wanted it to be. This stand blows everything else away. Doesn't wobble at all, even if the legs aren't in line with the tom [I only use one]. Another great feature is the ball clamp. Unlike my original set-up that would move if it wasn't as tight as possible, this one is a different story. I tighten this to a "snug" level, and it doesn't go anywhere. The only downside I could imagine is the price which isn't that bad, but a little bit cheaper would have been nice.

This stand is rock solid. I have two that I use to hold my toms. It never sways or rocks no matter how hard I pound. I also use each one to hold a cymbal from the back. Great value.
