In response to those 1 star reviews

So I was browsing this site, and I wanted to see how this product that i own, faired off in reviews. Anyways, don't listen to those two people that rated it with a 1 star. I mean look at what they had to say. "The pads didnt really have that much of a bounce in my opinion" - Are you kidding me? You must have horrible hands! This thing bounces about the same as my vic firth practice pad. "The sound isn't amazing" - I don't know what kind of sound you were looking for? Their drum pads!! It's suppose to be somewhat quiet! Anyways back to my review. I use this to practice at my apartment at school. The volume is not loud, (it should be that way), my brother could be practicing in the living room, and I could easily fall asleep in the bedroom. As far as the tightening, that really is the main problem, but with the use of a good drum key (DW key), I haven't had a problem since. I love the fact that it's pretty sturdy and very easy to bring around, hence the name, "Go Anywhere Practice Set" Apparently, the people that rated it with 1 stars should have probably purchased the pearl travel kit. For me, at this price, this was everything I was looking for and was expecting in a practice pad kit.

This product is for moving around the kit not for head banging. Its not designed to be played at "11".... Add a metronome and mutted highhat and it will tell the truth about your abilities!

I use to use this to practice silently, but it was horrible. Many things were wrong with it for example every single part needed to be tightened ever five minutes which is very annoying. The pads didnt really have that much of a bounce in my opinion. Also the pads break very easily.Overall i hate the thing and i would not consider that ANYONE buys this unless they are looking for a piece of crap!

The worst product I have ever bought

I bought this yesterday planning on taking it off to college to put in my dorm room because I can't take my entire kit to my dorm room. The screws that you tighten with a drum key come loose literally every 15 minutes or less. The sound isn't amazing, but I was willing to deal with that if it were sturdy, which it isn't. I played this for about 45 minutes and I had to retighten each of the screws about 4 times, and I don't even hit the pads that hard. I am returning this as soon as I can. Seriously, don't waste your money.

Does most of what I'd hoped for

I've owned this for about 6 months now. This works great for keeping in my room (I have to be considerate of the 5 other people in my building). Simple enough to transport around when on the road. Not having a foot pedal is great as it keeps down cost (Besides, I want my regular pedal for practice and performance). However, not including a bag for storage/transportation is lame.

DW (are you out there?) would do well to increase the price and just include a bag for storage. It would also be nice to have additional adjustments on more than just the "snare" pad. I personally enjoy the same angle on both my snare and rack toms. Overall, this product is absolutely worth the money. The pads work well enough that I keep one in my gigbag for warming up before shows. I do think that it is too bad there isn't an option for buying pad surfaces with less bounce ala realfeel. I can't recommend the actual practice pad over a Realfeel pad for snare work, but it does the job as an overall kit. Something else that would improve this set would be some sort of anchor to keep it from sliding as I can't just stick a concrete block behind it like a bassdrum.

Anyways, this product is the way to go for working limb independence exercises. Just stick a few pads/hi hat next to it and you have a complete kit.
