This pad creates a really cool effect. It is also very durable. However, it dampens the resonance too much and makes it difficult to maintain the original bold sound of a bass drum.

This product is misrepresented. i put one on my bass drum and played it, and indeed it sounded like i hit my drum and an anvil at the same time. but i gave it a bit more of a chance and played it through a microphone and it sounded quite close to a professional studio recording. i was very impressed, but as soon as i put the second one on to play some double bass they both fell off. i'm using a coated batter head, so that in itself might be my problem. as far as the rebound issue, if you don't mute the striking side [i use a pillow pushed against the resonant head], and tighten it to where it gets a tone, it is quite [to my ears] enjoyable through the microphone.

I was hoping this product would deliver a punch and help highten my sound during live shows but I was wrong. This pad is horrible and fell off after seriously ten seconds of use. the sound was also horrid, the only way I can describe it is someone knocking two sticks together. I bought two of these and I plan on sending them back ASAP!

I bought two of these for my kick drum in hope of getting a nice clicky attack to my bass drum sound. I was wrong. I put these on, and it sounded like somebody hammering a piece of wood. Not only that, they fell off after like 6 hard hits. I eventually just tossed them after that. But to make it even worse, your pedals get no rebound what so ever. These things suck.

There's just simply to much weight to these to give you anything but the sound of the pad clicking. it totally cuts off anysound going to the bass drum. save your self alot of money and tape a dime to the drum. it sounds alot better
