For my jazz recordings at home, I thought this bass would be a good idea. It has worked well, however, I have had the high string on both the original set that came with the bass and the same string on the replacement set break while sitting around doing nothing. If this is a problem with these strings.

Incredible sound, but the strings break easily in a warm climate.
