I know there was some issue with the Dean cases on the Dean Forum and that none of them "fit" the basses their built for. I have a Dean Z Tour bass and I bought this case because there are NO cases for any of the Tour series basses. Beware if you are buying this case for anything other than a Metalman, you will have to modify the case! Your bass body will not fit. Length was fine but, the body bout area had to be trimmed a good bit to fit my Dean. I'm not sure if trimming is necessary with a Metalman. I'm happy I finally got a case for my Dean and was already aware there would be trimming so, I didn't have a problem with it.

The case itself is huge....and very heavy! The case alone weighs more than most cases with the bass in them. And, one of my latches was bent.

All in all, if your Z needs a case, this one will do, but don't expect greatness and a fit. Get your utility knife out for this one.
