One of the Best Strings I've Used

After using Coated DRs, Coated Elixers, and Rotosounds for years, and taking new D'Addarios off other basses I've bought; the Alchemy's are now by far my favs. I've got Coated DRs on one Spector and Alchemys on another, The Alchemys feel better - with a slightly softer touch, and have a better all around tone. I can dial in a real punchy sound and bring it all the way back to the Whoomp needed on some of the heavy blues we do. And while the coating on the DRs usually can chip after a time playing hard, the Alchemys still look new after months and months. I'm putting them on all my fretted basses, T-Bird, Warwick Infinity, Tobias, and the other Spector. I just wish Dean Markley made a double ball set for my Steinbergers. By far the Alchemys are something I've been waiting for many years.
