Oh yeah bass players! The Dean Markley SR2000 is one hot string! Taper-wrapping at the bridge allows SR2000s to vibrate more easily and longer. Their tone is unbelievable! They growl, they pop, they sing, they practically play themselves.

Order a set today and get ready to be won over.

Let me first start of by saying that I was a little uneasy about getting these strings. I am used to 40-90 guages and thought that these would be more like 45-95,[ I have an agressive, faster style, especially when slapping and tapping.] Having my heart set on the Dean Markely Blue Steels and finding them out of stock EVERYWHERE such as: Music123, Zzounds, Pro Audio Land etc. including here, I reeluctatly bought four sets of these. When I put them on my Fender Jazz bass I was completely blown away. These strings have mind-blowing sustain, even on the first frett on each string,( F Bb Eb Ab,)Growly slap tone, deep smooth low end, and rich harmonnics. I do clean them before and after playing to maintain the brightness. I urge you all to try these, you won't believe what you're missing out on!

I was a little scepticle aabout trying out these strings. I use srings that are lighter than these ( 40-90 ), but I'm sure glad I got them ! They have such great tone; I can get growly slap, deep and groovy, and sustain beyond my belief.
