All Around Great Strings

I bought these off a clearance rack . I went back to my dorm, put them on my guitar, and was absolutely BLOWN AWAY. These strings have brilliant note definition and are amazingly well balanced. Pure, bright, and perfect for my style of music. From Dave Matthews to Skip James to the Beatles to James Taylor, these strings have more than done justice to the music I I perform. The also have the added bonus of a beautiful gold coating that really adds to the appearance of the guitar.

For reference, I went back and bought all 8 other sets that were on the clearance rack - these are now the only strings I will use.

I was trying a number of different brands for my McIlroy AC30. These have been the best so far: great volume, balance and richness of sound. They were recommended to me and I wasn't aware they were a coated string; they sure don't sound like it. Now I know why they still sound good after a month of daily playing.

I bought these strings at a local music shop hoping to find an alternative to Elixir Acoustic Stings. I play my acoustic many hours a day and end up having to change strings about once a week. I wanted to find coated strings that would last longer and sound as grand. These strings have a great feel to them. And the color is quite interesting. But if I were to judge my decision on that, then I would be foolish. The tone is down right dreadful. I do admit they last longer than many other brands but I ended up taking them off because I couldn't stand the tone. So all in all, great color, great feel, and long lasting, but they just sound like poo. I think the manufacturers missed the mark. For all you die hard acoustic fans, stick to Elixirs. It’s the same price and they are just better. Unless you really fancy yellow strings, that is.

I love these strings. They sound bright, have a long life, don't break, and look great. I'd highly recommend them for anyone looking for a brighter tone. They do settle down after the first few hours of play and can give an almost electric sound when plucking strings near the bridge.
