I received this stand as a birthday present for my acoustic. I was looking for a small, sturdy, collapsible stand, and I came across this little guy at a local guitar shop, and it fits the bill perfectly. It is solid metal, and the back brace comes to a T so that it is very sturdy (I've seen similar stands that don't have this T brace, and it makes me nervous). The angle at which it holds your guitar also adds to the stability of this stand. It also folds very flat (less than 2 inches at the tallest point). In addition the rubber pads protect your instrument very well. The reason for the 4 in value is because mine was more expensive than other stands, at the time of purchase, but at the current price this is a very worthwhile investment. Overall I have been very pleased with my Axe Rack, and want to get an electric version for my Les Paul.
