Didn't fit my guitar

This looks like a great product, but it sadly did not fit my guitar. The neck of my guitar (Takamine) extends a quarter-inch past the sound hole. I figured that it would still fit because of the notch they cut out for the neck. However, because the central disc is metal, the cover wasn't flexible enough to fit in the soundhole without damaging my guitar.

Bottom line: If you have a neck that extends even a tiny bit into the soundhole do not buy this product. Look for a soundhole cover that is made entirely of a soft, flexible material (like rubber, etc.).

The covers quality was great, but I cannot comment on its performance.

I constantly switch back and forth between an Ovation electric acoustic and a Strat through the same amp (Line 6)on stage. This totally eliminated the feedback I always had when trying to keep the same output level with the acoustic as from the Strat. Buying another for my 12-string.

Dean Markley The Suppressor Acoustic Soundhole Cover is a creative and affective invention. I've owned the chrome one for about half a year now and it works great. I have a mohagony Washburn guitar that was too mellow for me and bright strings were not enough. The Suppressor gives it a brighter sound -some what like a resonator guitar- and looks great. The only thing to be aware of (if you strum as fast and hard as I do: aggressively) the rubber part tends to slowly wear away around the edge of the soundhole. Other than that it works great.
