I absolutely love this pick up. I have them in both my 6 string Takamine and my 12 string Gibson. The three individual pick up volume knobs are great once you learn how to use them... the mic pickup comes out a little on the bass side and a little hot sometimes, but if you do any percussive work (finger tapping or what not) that mic is a must. Then the piezo under the saddle is just solid for string vibration, I feel like this pick up is a little on the treble side of things... which is great to balance the mic pick up. Finally the magnetic pick up, sometimes a little buzz, but with a good DI there are no problems... this pick up is just great when you use a slide or split the signal and use effects and an amp.. basically like an electric. Once you combine them all it is outstanding. And I honestly feel that the sound coming out of the PA is actually what my guitar sounds like. The battery life is not a problem as long as you don't leave the guitar plugged in and buy quality batteries (just like a stomp box). I have had a lot of people ask me what I have in there, and I can not tell them enough of how happy I am with the pick up... it rocks! I play 3 or 4 shows a week, and the pick up in the 6 string has been in for 3 years or so and still going strong. The only draw back I would say is that the volume knobs turn a little too easy and can be brushed louder or quieter with aggressive strumming... but I MacGyver'd a way to keep them solid. Over all fantastic.

To the guy who said, it's not stereo or can't convert it to. I think you misunderstand the term stereo, no pickup is stereo, you can however, put a different jack on the end which will allow you to add even another source to the system, I have done this. Don't leave the thing plugged in, if you unplug it the pickup is off and no battery waste. I have had my battery in my guitar 2 years.

I found no valve above an acoustic single pickup. The installation instruction contained very poor graphics. There is NO STEREO nor anyway to convert it to stereo. No OFF switch, none found in the instructions nor reply to my email to DM. eats 9 volt batteries.

I had to special order this pickup from a Guitar Center due to the backorder placement on this during March, but it was well worth it. The pickup sounds amazing when you plug it in. The installation was confusing at times, but once it all got going, thing went pretty well. I play an Epiphone Hummingbird and I think that it was a very nice addition. I recommend this pickup for anyone who wants to make their acoustic even better.
