Perfect Ibanez Pickup

I had this baby installed in my Ibanez rg2550z prestige model. I was a little skeptical installing it into a basswood body, but let me tell you this pickup really screams. It gives a beautiful range of tones, and harmonics really stand out on this guitar. With my Ibanez/Dimarzio pickups in the guitar I could never get a pinch harmonic, now I find it hard not to hit one. Although it's not too forgiving on mistakes, this is a excellent buy that will make your guitar scream!

Best EVO Bridge ever

I have the original EVO on my Charvel. It is a bit harsh for my taste. The EVO II is a different story. This pickup is installed on my Frankenstein guitar. This guitar consist of a Fender Starcaster body, Johnson neck, Planet Wave tuners, one volume knob, EVO II pickup and a stock Fender tremolo. This guitar has become my second favorite. After assembled together and tune up by a guitar luthier, it plays and sounds amazing. The sound is fat, dynamic and clear. I simply love this pickup. It does Van Halen very well.

I got this pickup for my birthday because I wanted something to replace the single coil in my strat. I went with the Evo 2 because I wanted to keep my strat sounding like a strat, and it does with the exception that everthing is crystal clear and I can actually turn on the distortion without having to turn off everything electrical in my house. I love this pickup, I haven't found a fault with it yet outside of the fact that it didn't come stock, and I have pretty much stopped using the middle and neck single coils. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for something that can do everything well. I gave the features a 4.5 because I can't quite nail Slashes tone in November Rain or the Walk tone from Pantera but those are two extremes.

Evolved My Sound

I bought this to replace the Bill Lawrence LX-500 (Dimebag's pickup) in my Dean ML 79. I was tired of having a one way pickup, so I bought this. When I got it, I didn't expect it to have as much punch as it did. I figured this pickup would be soft and not really suited Pantera-type metal. I was dead wrong. This thing has AMAZING punch while still keeping its clarity. It sustains very well and the harmonics are endless. This is better than the Bill Lawrence in the fact that it can do anything except get me a beer. It has a very great clean sound, which the Bill Lawrence didn't. The tone of the Evo 2 is very smooth, it has a very 3-D type tone (if that makes sense to you). I'm not a fan of Steve Vai, so I didn't buy this because his name was on it. Overall, the sound is great, has dynamics, is 3-D, punchy, clear and great with medium distortion. I'm planning to slap a PAF Pro in the neck to go with it. What a combo it will make!

I had originally gotten the DiMarzio Mo' Joe to replace the stock bridge pickup in my guitar. The pickup itself is great, but for my tastes, it *just* didn't have enough power.
So I decided I'd get the Evo 2. Great sound, great harmonics, great dynamics, great tone, great cleans, great overdrive, great lows, great highs, great eveything-in-between. Just great!
I didn't know if it would sound any good in my mahogany guitar since DiMarzio is known for their pickups being good for basswood and alder guitars... Not a problem. Justs sounds great.
I definitely recommend this pickup for anyone who plays lead guitar. It's great for just about anything related to rock. Classic, hard, metal, even blues. The only thing it doesn't do is make me a sandwich ;D. Other than that, Evo 2 is the way to go!
