DiMarzio Instrument Cables are top rated by Guitar Player Magazine. They easily passed Guitar Player's "Zildjian cymbal guillotine test" and "jump rope test" of 9/97, demonstrating how well-built and reliable they are in real world conditions. In order to carry the DiMarzio name, they have to sound great too. Guitar Player describes them as "quiet and transparent with a clear balance from lows to highs." They sonically outperform cables costing many times their price. They are noise-free when they are moved and are 100% shielded with a combination braided shield and carbon jacket. They are low capacitance, measured by Guitar Player at only 620pf for the 18-foot model. They come with Switchcraft connectors to ensure reliability and have a lifetime warranty.

Best Cables

I've owned this cable for a few years now and have had no problems with it. While they do tangle up easily, straighting them out is no problem. And these things are indestructable. My friend was playing at my house and had his LP hooked up with my cord when the strap came off his guitar.(no he did not have strap locks at that time) His guitar landed right on the cord jack and it saved his guitar.(it only suffered a small cosmetic crack on the finish and it broke off his pick up switch) The jack got bent but works fine and I still use that cable. Bottom line, these are the best cables ever.

I have owned and used my Dimarzio instrument cable for 16 years. (Pro player) Instant improvement in tone without being harsh as some "high bull--it" cables that cost 4Xs more. PS Dimarzios don't have screw heads, that would be George L's. And I wouldn't gig with those either.

I got this cable about a year ago, I havent had any problems, it doesn't make any noise when you move etc. The only problem is that it likes to twist up while you're playing but that is minimalized by its tonal quality and durability. Highly recomeneded!

I like the look of the cable and purchased two tweed models. They work and sound fine, but the tweed cover on one started coming off from the input area. The other most glaring downside is the fact that these cables are stiff and will consistently tangly up with any movement on stage, making them almost useless. I would try similiar cables with more value like the Monster line or the Vox coil cables.

I bought my first dimarzio cable in 2005 for use with a bass. I still use the same cable plus about 5 others for use in connecting my keyboard rig. In my experience these cables hold up well and work great. I'm pretty careful (anal) about how I treat my cables and have had no problems with any of my dimarzio cables, and they've seen extensive use between band practice and gigs. Look great and don't tangle. love em.
